I've been involved in the "Fitness World" ,(Weightlifting & Bobybuilding), for 50 yrs. or so. I,ve found myself in several stages of Fitness or "UnFitness" depending on various Life Situations. This guy is not really so unusual but is apparently putting himself in a lot of danger to prove his point. I remember "BRUCE RANDALL" gaining and losing huge amounts of weight to accomplish different things in the 50s when he was known as "THE BALLOON MAN", illustrating that with proper focus and positive motivation one could accomplish startling things with the human body. His reasons were not exactly the same as this man but the illustration is the same. He was one of the biggest influences on me as a teenager. He probably took on a more dangerous level of risk than he knew but yes, he , I'm sure, motivated a lot of young people to keep a lot fitter than they otherwise would have. I am today at 66 in the physical condition of those 20+ yrs. younger than me at least in part thanks to him. This trainer may help lots of others to go on to a better Fitness life as a result of his albeit unusual way of "Bonding" with his clientele, and I hope he can pull off the return to his former self. At least he will know what it's like to be in the shape those clients are who obviously are seeking a way "UP". Me? I try to explain , demonstrate, and motivate my clients to achieve positive results in a lot less dramatic and risky way. I wish him luck.
