Crush Your Core, Blast Your Legs, and Get Your Heart Rate Racing with This 2-Exercise Finisher

Finishers are one of my favorite ways to jack up the intensity of a workout and end it feeling incredibly accomplished. Not only do they help get your clients lean and fit, but they also instill a bit of confidence in them because they are able to overcome challenges and push themselves to the limits.

Don’t get any misconceptions about the use of finishers. Adding in a 5-10 minute finisher to a workout won’t get rid of terrible nutritional practices or a lack of intensity in your regular training program. Finishers should be looked at like the icing on the cake of a great training session.

Today, I wanted to share with you a fun new finisher with a movement that I have been incorporating into some workouts and that I love because it is shoulder-friendly yet incredibly challenging.

These two exercises can be paired for reps and done on time or done in the traditional interval fashion.

Here are two options for implementing this finisher in your workouts:

  1. Perform 5 TRX Jump Squats and 20 Total Sandbag Marches Every Minute On The Minute for 5-10 Minutes
  2. Perform 15s of TRX Jump Squats followed immediately by 30s of Standing Sandbag Marches. After the marches you can rest for 30s before completing another round. Complete 3-5 rounds for a finisher.
